It is believed that the old farm at Bustarfell was founded in
1770. The farm was occupied until 1966. The National Museum had
acquired it some time before in order to preserve it as an
example of ancient Icelandic building methods. Furniture and
other objects in the house belonged to the farm originally, or
came from others in the vicinity. |
