The mountain stands north of Eiđisskarđ, around the center of Langanes. The highest point of the mountain is called Kálfshvammshyrna (266 m). There used to be a NATO radar station on the mountain, but it was discontinued in 1970. The mountain seems to attract fog, but during clear weather the view is great, for example over all of Langanes to its outermost border at Fontur. A reasonable road lies up the mountain.
